ONE CDO is a Cagayan de Oro-based network of outdoor groups, environmental organizations, artists, musicians and individuals, organized last Dec.17, 2011 for the purpose of aiding hundreds of victims who have suffered the recent tragedy of Typhoon Sendong, which recently hit Cagayan de Oro City last December 16, 2011.

ONE CDO is also a campaign to call for unity, harmony and action especially among the youth who desire to help but don’t have the support group to do so. ONE CDO hopes to provide this opportunity for volunteerism and ability to share.

ONE CDO holds a clean-up drive and assistance to various affected barangays and their residents, to speed up efforts in creating a cleaner and more livable environment. On-going river clean-up is also being conducted by all river rafting companies in tandem with the clean-up in nearby communities.

The Mindanao Run for Hope 2012

The first simultaneous running event in Mindanao covering six major cities: Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Zamboanga, Butuan, Koronadal and Marawi. Event will be on February 05 Sunday.

17,000 runners are expected to join PhilHealth Mindanao in this groundbreaking event for the benefit of kids with cancer from the Southern Philippines Medical Center Children’s Cancer Center and Blood Diseases Unit (SPMC-CCCBDU).

Take part and give hope to kids with cancer, knowing that your little contribution might save precious lives.

After typhoon Sendong hit Cagayan De Oro and Iligan City last December, almost everything was wiped out. This time around, the victims of Typhoon Sendong needs new HOMES.

This coming January 28, 2012, the SENDONG RUN FOR A HOME will be staged at SM City, CDO at 6:00PM. If you’re an avid runner or you SIMPLY WANT TO HELP and you happen to be in Cagayan De Oro city this coming weekend. PLEASE DO REGISTER and RUN THERE.

The funds generated will be used for the different outreach programs of the organization including the free legal services/consultation to the less fortunate people of Cagayan de Oro City and the different municipalities and component cities of Misamis Oriental.

Seven Falls, Lake Sebu

This southwestern Mindanao’s summer capital conceals majestic waterfalls called Seven Falls, located in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

Cable and ziplines provide exhilarating adventures for those who are brave enough to zip from falls to falls while looking down at the breathtaking panorama.

The second falls, simply named as Falls 2, is not far from the first waterfall, Dongon Falls. Just a short habal-habal going down the road from Dongon falls, you’ll reach the entrance gate. The place has been developed into a park and these can best be viewed through the stunning and exciting zipline.
